Travel
Edinburgh is easily accessible by air, road, rail or ferry.

Edinburgh Airport benefits from over 30 airlines serving over 60 destinations,
including Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hamburg, Paris and Stockholm.
There are over 150 flights daily between Edinburgh and London Airports every

By Rail - www.nationalrail.co.uk
Edinburgh is linked to all the major cities and airports in Britain. The
high-speed link to London gets you from the heart of one city to another

in around eight hours.

at St Andrews Square offers connections to all major cities in Britain.
By Ferry - www.directferries.co.uk
There is a daily overnight service from Rosyth (just half hour from the
centre of Edinburgh) to Zeebrugge in Belgium. It's operated by Superfast
Ferries, offering superb comfort and a jouney time of just 18 hours, with
one service per day in each direction.
Official Language
The congress language will be English
Climate
Edinburgh enjoys a moderate year-round climate. From April to September,
temperatures are mild and compare favourably with other European cities;
annual rainfall is the same as Frankfurt, New York and Rome. A perfect Edinburgh
day dawns with a clear blue sky, warm and pleasant in summer - though in
winter often accompanied by a sharp frost.
